A few days into 'proper' camp

Hey everyone!

So it's a few days into proper camp and it's going well. I am shattered but I'm trying my best to keep my 'game face' on. It's proving difficult to survive camp without an ipod but I'm doing well so far. I miss owl city though!

So the other night we had 'crab soccer' and here is a picture of what I looked like. Although my unit (yellow unit) didn't win we had a lot of fun:

Right. I need to go do laundry now. 10 - 4 as they say on the walkies.

Midway through mini camp!

Hey!

So mini camp is in it's mid stages. I am blogging from the Lewisburg library and the air conditioning is PHITT! The heat surely has been taking it out of me.

Here is a pic of mini camp opening night that has been put on the website:

In this photo I am with newly made mates Elsie, Sarah Kay, Lauren T and Becca. We are having a right laugh. COME ON ENGLAND!

At camp.

Hey.

I've been at camp for a week now. I am on a netbook so excuse typos. It's awesome. Today I did a church service sermon about no gossip which went well. Really well actually. It made me think about potential careers. Then I led a memorial service which again made me think about potential careers. Today the mini campers started and they are so cute! I've been really really busy and my phone card isn't working. It might need activating or something but I'm not too sure. I am fine without it though. Things are awesome. It's really hot here and I've got a tan already. It's so exciting to have leadership roles and my staff are awesome. Staff training was intense and we had a famous american camp association author guy come help us with the training who was absolutely amazing. He rocked my world. Well ... not really but it was funny pretending whilst it lasted. Met some amazing friends this year. All the British counselors are AWESOME!

En Route to Camp

So ... I am on route to camp! Currently sat at an internet terminal at the generator hostel London. I made it from Euston this time without having to get the tube to an easier navigation point like last year. So it's all good. I am feeling a bit on my own ... probably because I'm ... on my own. But that'll all be fixed by tomorrow night. I am absolutely shattered actually. Barely slept last night thinking about things I needed to pack. Over and out before I fall asleep.

Almost time to go back!

Hey!

So I've not blogged for a while. But I'm about to go back. Visa and passport finally sorted. I'm almost on my way! So I just thought I'd write to all my followers to say to expect more blogs coming your way! I almost feel like a bit of a celebrity having a blog.

So, "What's changed since last year?" I hear you ask. Well, good question. This year I have a few more jobs on the go. I'm gonna be a unit head, a department head and the new counselor mentor. Alongside doing some talks in church services and sorting out prayers and bits and bobs like that. So it's gonna be a bit more intense with possibly less time to blog which means, shorter, more readable blogs hopefully. We'll see! I am gonna try and just post photos of me here from the camp website. That'll probably some it all up.

Chow!
